1. Room vs. whole-home reading
A room reading overlays the bagua on one space — perfect for a bedroom or office. A whole-home reading overlays it on your entire floor plan, so you discover that your kitchen sits in the Wealth zone or your garage swallows the Relationship corner. Both matter; the whole-home view shows the bigger pattern.
2. How to photograph your floor plan
Three easy ways: (a) sketch your layout on paper, lay it flat, and photograph it from directly above; (b) screenshot the floor plan from your real-estate listing or lease; or (c) use a floor-plan app's export. Keep walls square to the frame and include all rooms.
3. Finding the center of your home
The bagua pivots on your home's geometric center — not the biggest room. For a rectangle it's where the diagonals cross. For an L-shape, complete the rectangle on paper and find that center (it may even fall outside the walls, in a “missing” area). Everything orients around this point.
