Most fluorite comes in pastels — purple, green, blue. This 497-gram Pakistani specimen goes somewhere darker. The cubic crystals are deeply color-zoned to near-black, their stepped hopper faces catching light with a submetallic flash that makes the piece look almost like a mineral from another world. Under shortwave UV, the transformation is complete: brilliant violet-blue fluorescence blazes uniformly from every crystal, edge to edge. A central cluster in a slightly lighter color zone creates a natural focal point — geology doing composition without any help.
